NetFlix

NETFLIX, a successful online video rental service, has decided to launch a new branch of video offerings.  Mac users, a large group of computer users, can now rent streaming movies from Netflix.  Microsoft's "silverlight" streaming software will allow Mac users to enjoy this feature of Netflix.  For Mac users, they must be using the newer intel-processing Mac computer which accounts for 3/4 of the users' computers.  This will allow more profits for Netflix, and allow more movie rental options for Mac users.

Motorola

So, Android came out, and the big news was the T-Mobile is the only carrier using it for its grand entrance.  Well, here comes Motorola!  Watch out, it was announced that they are creating their own device that uses a touch screen and slide out keyboard to master their own Android cell phone.  They want to allow social networking users to update their accounts and have a cutting edge device using Motorola rather than the iPhone, Blackberry, or TMobile G1 device.  It is set to make an appearance in 2009, but no official design has been showed.  Motorola just recently released its own first touchscreen last week for Verizon, and this cutting-edge cellphone creator will have its share of pushing technology further.

AMD

AMD... aka Advanced Micro Devices, is a microprocessor used in many gaming computers around the world.  The company said that it will become two companies now, in order to cut costs and continue to maintain its position as one of intel's strongest competitors.  The company also has a couple of new investors hoping to advance the new two companies further into the computer world.
